Medium to long life

Roland Polymeric Vinyl Gloss is a cadmium-free PVC film with a thickness of 70 microns that can be perfectly combined with Roland printers and eco-solvent inks. The material is suitable for prints with a medium to long life (two years for vertical outdoor prints without lamination, and up to five years with lamination), and flat or slightly curved surfaces. The adhesive layer is grey, which prevents the base surface from showing through.

Wide variety of applications

This vinyl is excellently suited to a wide range of base surfaces. It adheres perfectly to glass, steel, aluminium and PVC. However, we don’t recommend this vinyl for structured base surfaces and walls with acrylic paint. For this, we offer Roland Polymeric Vinyl High Tack. This material has a very high adhesive power, which is required for such substrates.

Laminate recommended

In order to extend the life of the prints and to reduce the risk of mechanical damage, we recommend that you laminate the prints with Roland Polymeric laminate. It is best for you to place the media in a ventilated room for at least 24 hours to allow evaporation, before you apply the laminate.

Usage guide

• Touch dry after less than 10 minutes depending on printer used.

• Recommended minimum application temperature: +10°C (+50°F).

• Exposure temperature range (outdoor): -40°C to +90°C (-40°F to +194°F).

• Very good adhesion on glass, steel, aluminium, PVC, melamine… except grained surfaces or acrylic paints.

• In the case of painted substrates self-adhesive media must only be applied onto the undamaged original paintwork.

If the paint is not the original paintwork and/or if it is damaged, the application and the removal are at the installer’s assessment / risk.
